Middlebury College has recently gained attention as a hotbed of climate change activism. Middlebury’s student body is engaged in environmental decisions on campus, and the student group MiddShift effectively lobbied Middlebury’s Board of Trustees to commit to total carbon neutrality on campus by 2016. Middlebury now also boasts its own wind turbine and solar panel system.
